Highly Experienced Biblical Counsellor + Discipleship, Mentorship & Coaching
Christ-centred and biblically faithful counselling and discipleship
A
My name is Kelly, and I am a Biblical Counsellor
I am married to a loving and Godly husband, Don, and am a mother to 4 grown adult sons. (1 son and 3 step-sons). I have been blessed with the super smart and protective dog Cruz. I enjoy coffee, daily time in study and pursuit of God and His Word and listening to audiobooks, sermons and podcasts. I love to travel, tend to my flowers and to minister both here and abroad.
In the counselling room, I delight in witnessing how the Holy Spirit powerfully transforms, humbles, feeds, heals and restores the 'bruised reed and smoking flax' (Matt. 12:20).
I love to pray with my counsellees before and after each session, and as I'm in God's Word I pray for them in the in-between times and sometimes long after I've finished counselling them as God brings them to mind.
A Little more -
I have been a born-again Christian for almost 30 years, am an ordained minister through Ministers Network Canada, and an Elder at The Righteousness of Christ Church International in Regina, Saskatchewan. I hold a Masters of Christian Counselling degree, am a certified “Prepare/Enrich” marriage facilitator, am certified in Transformational Therapy, Anger Management and Conflict resolution. I have over 20 years of ministry work both locally as well as internationally.
I have had numerous opportunities to teach classes at the church and am the Worship Pastor, responsible for musicians and singers, leading worship and training up worship leaders and ministry members.
I have over 20 years of counselling and ministry experience and my desire is to help people transform their lives and and see God’s best for them in all they do.
I prefer to use the term biblical counselling rather than Christian counselling to describe what I do. The counselling I offer is not psychotherapy that happens to be led by a Christian, it is a Christ-centered approach. The Holy Spirit, not the counsellor, is the ultimate therapist and healer. God becomes the agent of change, provided the counsellee cooperates with Him.
My goal is to convey a way of freedom from mental and emotional symptoms, family and marital conflict, as well as other difficulties, utilizing exchanged life principles
